Plain and simple, our body needs sleep and if we don’t get enough, things start to go wrong. Whether you are a person who gets to sleep easily and then wakens in the small hours or someone who lies awake for hours when they get into bed, I am sure you can relate to what I mean.
Our work starts with ensuring all of the natural sleep health behaviours are in place. We then look at patterns. For example, are you always awakening at the same small hour? This will start to identify what is happening at the subconscious level that we need to address.
Insomnia is your mind’s way of protecting you and it’s intentions are good! Under the deep state of relaxation that is hypnosis, I help your mind to understand that sleep forms a better form of protection than the method it is using, and with this new learning, results are often very quick.
Self Hypnosis
One of things I aim to teach all my clients is how to relax through self-hypnosis. This skill in itself can help tremendously in getting to sleep and if used during the day, can help overcome bouts of tiredness and give you the boost to get through the rest of the day
I have had clients who have gone from 3 hours to a consistent 7 hours sleep a night after one session. Each person is unique thus some people may need 2 or 3 therapeutic sessions but progress is typically swift and long lasting.
